Environmental democracy? A comparative study of procedural law

Summary

fiogf49gjkf0d
Research into environmental procedural law. A comparative perspective on the current practical application of the "access of justice" dimension of the Aarhus Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters and the European law implementing it. By comparing selected elements of environmental law procedures in Sweden, Germany, Denmark and the United Kingdom, the study aims at providing a sound base for discussing if, how and to what extent there is a need to further adapt Swedish environmental procedures to a common enforcement model where non-governmental organizations have a more important role to play.
